I’m Rachel Fischer, a copywriter based in New York City specializing in HCP pharmaceutical advertising. My professional writing career began when my work was “published” in my elementary school’s newspaper—and I haven’t stopped writing since.
While at Hobart & William Smith Colleges, I continued to develop my passion for storytelling as a Writing & Rhetoric major and a contributing writer at the Colleges’ Office of Communications. There, I discovered how much I enjoyed the challenge of becoming a content expert in new areas. From writing essays on Foucault’s theories of language and truth, to reporting on the rugby team’s latest win, I welcomed every chance to write about a topic I previously knew nothing about.
When I landed in pharmaceutical advertising, I knew it would be a good fit. Every disease state, brand strategy, or pitch is another opportunity to learn about something new. And to me, there’s no greater challenge than speaking directly to the true content experts–the healthcare professionals.
When I’m not reading about the latest gene therapy breakthrough, I’m on the search for my next favorite novel, running along the East River, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe.
